The Chief Minister of Karnataka, Basavaraj Bommai, launched a scathing attack on the Leader of Opposition, Siddaramaiah, accusing that his tenure as CM was full of corruption and stating that the Congress party is synonymous with corruption. Speaking to reporters in Hubballi on Tuesday, Bommai challenged Siddaramaiah to answer to the Lokayukta regarding the corruption cases that emerged during his government regime.
Bommai further defended himself against any charges of corruption, stating that if Siddaramaiah has any proof of his involvement in corrupt activities, he should present it. He also expressed confidence in the BJP’s prospects in the upcoming election, stating that the party’s wave is sweeping across the state, and its intensity would increase with the launch of Prime Minister Modi’s campaign trail.
Bommai also mentioned the recent meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, where several instructions were given.
