Congress leader Eshwar Khandre revealed that during the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting in Bengaluru, DK Shivakumar put forth a succinct resolution proposing Siddaramaiah’s name as the CLP leader, a decision that was unanimously endorsed by all members, PTI tweeted.
Following this successful meeting, both Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar are scheduled to visit Raj Bhavan to meet Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot and assert their claim for government formation. The stage is set for the Congress party to take the necessary steps towards establishing the new government.
