Hubballi: Not only former minister Satish Jarkiholi but the entire Congress party is allergic to the word “Hindu.” If they don’t criticise “Hindu tradition” or “Hindu culture,” they feel restless. To get minority votes, they always criticise Hindus; they brand themselves as “anti-Hindu,” said former chief minister Jagdish Shettar.
Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, Shettar lambasted Jarkiholi for his statement on the “Hindu” word. If his statement was personal, then does the party have the guts to remove him from the party? Questioned Shettar. These are all tactics to get minority votes, he said.
