Bengaluru. June 6: COVID is under complete control. People need not panic unnecessarily about the pandemic, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said speaking to media persons on Monday.

The Principal Secretary in the Health department would hold meetings to review the COVID management precautions taken in all the districts and submit a report. An appropriate decision would be taken based on the report, Bommai said.

Meanwhile, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has made masks compulsory in the public places, media reports said quoting BBMP officials. The decision was taken following a surge in COVID cases and death due to the infection.
