Bengaluru. April. 18: A thorough probe would be conducted if Dingaleshwara Swamiji provides details on his statement on paying commission for getting government grant, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said.

Reacting to the seer’s statement that a commission has to be paid to get the government grant, Bommai said, “Dingaleshwara Swamiji is a revered seer, a Mahatma, it is not enough if the head of a Mutt just issues a statement. If he could provide details as to who demanded the commission, to whom it was paid, how much was paid and all the related details then I will ensure a thorough investigation,” Bommai said.

Dingaleshwar Swamiji during an open convention had alleged that they need to pay a 30 percent commission to get the grants released to Mutts. Narrating the issue in a sarcastic way, the seer said, “ Delhi and Bengaluru (Union and state government) releases ice cream (grants) but by that time it reaches North Karnataka only stick remains,” he said.
