CM meets Pralhad Joshi at his residence.

Hubballi: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai met Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Mines, and Coal Pralhad Joshi at his residence on Monday.

Speaking to the press, Joshi said that there was nothing special about the CM meeting him, “We are friends and we are from the same constituency. We did not discuss politics but had breakfast together,” he said.

Joshi said that Union Minister for Surface Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari will lay the foundation stone for the six-lane Hubballi-Dharwad Bypass work and other big projects related to national highways. Joshi said that he will also inaugurate the bypass connecting NH 218, 63, and NH 4 this afternoon.

The Union Minister said that it is the first time in history that the region has received a record allocation of grants for the development of roads.

Regarding cabinet expansion, Bommai said the party high command will take a decision in this regard at an appropriate time. Regarding the senior MLC, Chairman of the Karnataka Legislative Council, Basavaraj Horatti, joining the BJP, Bommai said that “He is in a responsible position and he has not revealed his political move openly so far.” “We have great respect for him and he is the chairman of the Legislative Council, so talking about his political moves openly is not right,” he said.
