CM in Hubballi: COVID-4th Wave: he says protocols will be released after meeting with PM

Hubballi: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be chairing a video conference of all the Chief Ministers on April 27 to get first-hand information on the spread of the novel coronavirus in the country. He would get all the details of the situation, and after the meeting, the state would prepare protocol, he said.

The union government has already asked people to remain cautious as the cases are slowly rising, especially in Kerala and Maharashtra. After the video conference with the Prime Minister, the state will likely get clear instructions, said Bommai.

Regarding a few schools in Bengaluru that received threat e-mail and the mail was sent from Pakistan, the CM said an investigation is going on. Sometimes miscreants sent emails sitting in the country, that the police are investigating. If the e-mail was sent from another country, the union government would be enlisted to assist in apprehending the perpetrators, he said.

In Hubballi violence, the Karnataka model will be implemented.

CM Bommai said that the government has taken the Hubballi violence very seriously. It is a conspiracy, and as part of that, they attacked a police station in a systematic manner. On a question that there is a demand from various quarters to implement the UP model to teach lessons to the accused, the CM said, “In this case, we will implement our own model, which is the Karnataka model, which is very effective.” 

The police are investigating the case very seriously from all angles, and they have recorded the statement of the accused, so they are really going deep into this case, he said.

Regarding irregularities in PSI recruitment, the CM said the CID is doing a comprehensive investigation and the guilty would not be spared, whoever they may be.
