CM Bommai to meet Praveen Nettar’s family this evening

CM addressing press conference in Bengaluru on the occassion of his government's first tear celebration

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will meet family members of BJP worker Praveen Nettar in Bellare this evening. At midnight, Bommai hurriedly convenes a press conference at his R T Nagar residence and announces the cancellation of the first year celebrations of his government at Vidhana Soudha and Janotsava at Doddaballapur. Instead of a celebration, the CM just addressed the press conference this afternoon.

The CM decides to meet the family members of Praveen, and his impromptu tour plan was prepared by his officers. The CM will leave Bengaluru at 3.30 pm and reach Mangaluru at around 4.25 pm. From there, by road, he will go to Bellare and return to Bengaluru by late night.

The BJP is facing the wrath of not only Hindu activists but also BJP workers and a few leaders. Renukachrya, the CM’s political secretary, openly threatened that he would not hesitate to submit his resignation while condemning Praveen’s murder.

State BJP vice president, BY Vijayendra, said that morale of the cadre is very low, and the party workers are in deep pain over the killing of Praveen. He said that party workers were jolted by this incident.
