CM Bommai in Hubballi: Booster dose for frontline workers at the earliest

Hubballi: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has stated that Covid frontline workers will receive a booster dose of the Covid vaccination as soon as possible and that he will meet with Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya tomorrow to discuss the matter (Thursday).

The last dosage of the COVID vaccine was given to front-line workers 6-7 months ago, according to the CM, who spoke to reporters at the airport. Following an upsurge in Covid cluster cases and the looming threat of the novel coronavirus variant Omicron, the topic of delivering a COVID booster dose came to the fore.

He stated that he would speak with the minister about administering booster doses to frontline workers. He stated that he will be going to Delhi tomorrow.


The CM said that he came to know about the protest by the junior doctors and he has asked the concerned to release the amount. The process would be completed in two to three days, he said.

The Chief Minister is in Hubballi for a private function.
