City lacks infrastructure for theatre groups: Govind Mannur

Hubballi: The city lacks infrastructure or theatres for theatre groups. The government should solve this problem, and it should also encourage and felicitate the artists, said senior actor Dr Govind Mannur.

He was speaking after receiving the Rangajeevi Award, which was conferred on him by Jeevi Kala Balaga on its 7th foundation day recently at Sawai Gandharva Hall in the city.

The programme was inaugurated by former MP IG Sanadi, and on the occasion, Kalaghatta, the play, was staged by the artists.

Senior journalist Ganapathi Gangolli, Shantanna Kadiwal, Basavaraj Sullad, Gurumurthy Yaragambalimath, and others were felicitated on the occasion.
