Chief Minister Yediyurappa holding an emergency meeting in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa holding a meeting with the ministers, officials at his official residence Cauvery  to discuss the steps to be taken to curb the spreading of the new variant of the novel Coronavirus “Delta Plus”.

Health Minister Dr Sudhakar, Dr C N Ashwath Narayan, R Ashoka, Basavaraj Bommai other senior ministers of his cabinet, Chief Secretary and other officials are taking part in the meeting. In few states including Maharashtra, Kerala and Madhya Pradesh patients infected with the new variant were found in good number, hence the meeting would decide on preventive measures to be taken in border districts of the state, said sources.
