New Delhi, By Hubli Express News Service: In a significant development, ISRO announced on Monday that a successful two-way communication link has been established between the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter and Chandrayaan-3‘s lander module.
4The space agency shared the news on Twitter, welcoming the Chandrayaan-3 lander with the words, “‘Welcome, buddy!’ Ch-2 orbiter formally welcomed Ch-3 LM. Two-way communication between the two is established. MOX has now more routes to reach the LM,” the space agency said in a post on Twitter).
Furthermore, ISRO unveiled that the lander module of Chandrayaan-3, India’s third lunar mission, is set to touch down on the Moon’s surface at approximately 6.04 pm on August 23. To witness this historic event, the live telecast of the landing will commence at 5.20 pm on Wednesday, August 23.
In a separate tweet, ISRO reflected on the significance of this achievement, stating, “The soft landing of Chandrayaan-3 is a monumental moment that not only fuels curiosity but also sparks a passion for exploration within the minds of our youth.”
