Cases in Karnataka go past 8k. Testing increased to 2 lakh, says Dr. K. Sudhakar.

Bengaluru: Karnataka on Friday reported 8,449 new cases of coronavirus. Of these, 6,812 cases were from Bengaluru. The state COVID positivity rate touched 4.15%.

As many as 107 new cases of Omicron were detected in the state, and four people, three from Bengaluru, succumbed to Covid. The state has conducted 2,03,260 tests, he said.
