A vehicle carrying Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel was involved in an accident in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Seven jawans were killed in the mishap, and many more are believed to have been injured.
The accident occurred when the vehicle skidded down the road in Pahalgam’s Frislan. The jawans were posted at Amarnath Yatra area.
The van, according to sources, was transporting 39 people (37 from ITBP and 2 from J&K Police). The troops were on their way to Pahalgam from Chandanwari.
“Six ITBP men were killed on the spot, while several others were severely injured. The mishap also injured 25 ITBP members and two police officers “stated a government official.
