Chandigarh, May 23 (HS): BSF on the India-Pakistan border of Punjab shot down another Pakistani drone on Monday night in the border village Bhaini Rajputana under BOP Rajatal in Amritsar. BSF has recovered heroin worth Rs 14 crore from this drone. BSF jawans have shot down this fifth drone in four days.
BSF Battalion 144 personnel were on patrol on the border under BOP Rajatal in Amritsar. Around 10 pm, the sound of a drone was heard in the village of Bhaini Rajputana. On this, the jawans fired on the drone. After some time, the sound of the drone stopped coming. After this, the jawans sealed the entire area and started the search operation.
BSF Commandant Ajay Kumar Mishra told that the drone was found fallen in the fields, with which a bag was tied. Two packets containing 2.1 kg of suspected heroin were recovered from that bag.
