Belagavi: District-in-Charge Minister Govind Karjol expressed astonishment over the suicide incident happened in Borgall village in the Belagavi district.
He described it as a heartbreaking tragedy and urged the public not to lose heart under any circumstances.
A man and four of his daughters committed suicide in Borgall village, Hukkeri taluk. Gopal Hadimani (46), Soumya Hadimani (19), Shweta Hadimani (16), Sakshi Hadimani (11) and Srujana (8) reportedly committed suicide via poisoning.
Gopal is an ex-Army man, and he and his children were unhappy after Jaya Hadimani, Gopal’s wife died as a result of black fungus related problems. The suicide act has sent a shockwave across the village.
