Bollywood music director Bappi Lahiri passes away.

Bollywood music director and singer Bappi Lahiri, who scored music for many films and popularised disco music, passed away at a private hospital in Mumbai. He was 69.

Lahiri had been admitted to a hospital for a month and was discharged on Monday. But his health condition worsened on Tuesday, and he was again admitted to the hospital. He had multiple health issues and died due to obstructive sleep apnea, said sources.

Bappi Lahiri’s Tamma Tamma Loge song, which he sang with Anuradha Paudwal for the Sanjay Dutt starrer Thanedar, became so popular that the song’s new version is still played at disco clubs.

The music composer sang popular songs like Disco Dancer, Sharaabi, Chalte Chalte and many others.
