Haveri: A fire broke out at a firecracker warehouse in Aladakatti village, Haveri. The blaze was ignited by sparks from nearby welding work, consuming the entire stock worth Rs. 1.5 crore.
Unfortunately, four bikes were also engulfed by the flames. A worker named Hariram, who was conducting the welding, sustained injuries from a fall.
Deputy Commissioner Raghunand Murthy explained that the firecrackers, sourced from Sivakasi, were being stored for the upcoming Ganesh and Diwali festivals. The accidental ignition resulted in this unfortunate incident.
