Black Fungus: KIMS expected to receive 75 vials of Amphotericin B by midnight

Hubballi: On Thursday, no black fungus affected patient admitted to the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS).

The total number of patients availing treatment for black fungus or mucormycosis remain the same. As of now, 94 patients are being treated by the doctors of KIMS.

Deputy Medical Superintendent of KIMS Dr Rajshekhar Dyaberi told ‘Hubli Express’ that no fresh patient admitted at the hospital and the health institute is expecting 75 vials of Liposomal Amphotericin-B injection by midnight, a vital drug to treat the black fungus affected patients.

On Wednesday, the KIMS had received 55 vials of the drug, on Sunday it received 100 vials.
