Hubballi: Union Minister Pralhad Joshi expressed confidence that BJP candidate Mahesh Tenginkai will win with a huge margin in the Hubballi Central constituency. Joshi stated that the party’s exceptional strike rate in the Kittur Karnataka region will continue in the upcoming assembly elections.
Speaking to reporters at his residence on Monday, Joshi also addressed questions regarding the party’s decision not to field Jagadish Shettar from the Central constituency, stating that the decision was made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, who had suggested a bigger role for Shettar.
Joshi further defended the party’s denial of a ticket to Shettar, stating that BJP national general secretary (Organisation) BL Santosh is a talented and honest party worker who works selflessly for the party and the country and he has no role in it as alleged by Shettar.
PM Modi to Address Rally
He also revealed that Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to address a rally in Kudachi on April 29 and may visit one more location in the Kittur assembly constituency, with the final schedule to be released soon.
Meanwhile, Amit Shah is set to chair a meeting with party district office bearers and Mandal presidents of Dharwad, Gadag, and Haveri districts in Hubballi city this evening (April 24) to provide necessary direction to the party leaders.
