Hubballi: JP Nadda, the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), will be visiting Hubballi tomorrow, to strategize on mitigating the damage caused by the departure of former chief minister Jagadish Shettar, who joined the Congress party on Monday. Nadda’s visit comes as the BJP works to keep its leaders and party workers intact amid Shettar’s resignation.
Nadda’s itinerary includes arriving in Hubballi at 3 PM, where he will participate in an interaction program with intellectuals. Later, he will chair a meeting with office bearers of Dharwad city and rural district’s various units. In the evening, there is a possibility of him chairing another meeting with party leaders to discuss the impact of Shettar’s departure on the Lingayat community and other constituencies and to explore measures to control it.
The following day, Nadda will visit Moorusavir Math and Siddharoodha Swamiji Math to offer special prayers. He will also be present with Chief Minister Bommai during his nomination time in Shiggaon. Nadda will then fly back to Delhi from Hubballi after concluding his visit. During his stay, he is expected to provide suggestions on election strategies to defeat rival candidates and address the challenges posed by Shettar’s departure.
