On Monday, BJP released its manifesto “Praja Pranalike” in Bengaluru, promising to implement its proposed policies. The manifesto, prepared under the leadership of Karnataka Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar, was created with the input of 170 assembly constituencies, online suggestions, and 50 sectoral experts.
Some of the key promises in the BJP’s manifesto include implementing a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and a National Register of Citizens (NRC) if the party retains power in the Assembly elections. The BJP also pledged to provide three free cooking gas cylinders annually to BPL families, monthly ration kits, and half-litre Nandini milk. In addition, the government will match deposits up to Rs 10,000 for 5-year terms made by women from SC/ST households. If the BJP comes back to power, it plans to develop Bengaluru as a state capital region.
Other promises in the BJP’s manifesto include amending the Karnataka Ownership Act, establishing laboratories in every ward, naming the Film City in Mysore after the late actor Puneeth Rajkumar, and countering the Indira Canteen with Atal Aahaar Kendras.
