Binge watch: Those who are not familiar with Burari deaths, Netflix brings you new series

Netflix’s latest limited series House of Secrets sheds insight on the Burari deaths, a case that gripped the entire country in the summer of 2018 when 11 members of the Bhatia family were discovered dead in their house.

The case brought the national attention to the by-lanes of Delhi’s Burari neighbourhood, a blow from which it appears to have yet to recover, as is often the case with communities at the centre of which something unusually rotten emerges.

The limited series from Netflix’s original documentary unit, presented across three 45-minute episodes, provides unprecedented access to both media and Bhatia family home movie footage, as well as interviews with family, friends, and law enforcement.

While the series will satisfy those who are unfamiliar with the Bhatias’ tragedy, those who are familiar with the crime may be left wanting more.
