Hubballi: MLA Prasad Abbayya has asked the Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Mines, and Coal to reveal the names of those who secretly supported the removal of parts of Hazarth Syed Mehmood Shah Khadri Dargha in Bhairidevarkoppa.
Recently, Union Minister Joshi stated in a press conference in Dharwad that those opposing the removal of parts of Dargah for the widening of the Hubballi-Dharwad Road had met him in person and said that they had no opposition to this operation but would oppose it in the Assembly, and Joshi refused to reveal the names, claiming that revealing the names of those who had spoken privately would not be appropriate.
Taking serious exception to Joshi’s statement, MLA Abbayya has dared Joshi to reveal the names of those who supported the drive by meeting him in person. By making this statement, the union minister has adopted the tactic of creating confusion in the public, and playing low-level politics by a national-level leader was not accepted, he said.
