Bengaluru Bandh on September 26
Transport services in Bengaluru may face disruptions on September 26 as several organizations, including farmer groups, pro-Kannada associations, and opposition parties, have called for a citywide bandh.
This protest is in response to the Karnataka government’s decision to release Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu due to drought conditions. The Supreme Court’s directive to release 5,000 cusecs of water until September 27 has intensified the dispute. A large rally is planned from Town Hall to Freedom Park, with the possibility of extending the bandh statewide.
