Belagavi: Following the Indian Air Force’s Operation Sindoor airstrike against Pakistani militants in retaliation for the recent massacre of Indian citizens in Jammu and Kashmir, Colonel Sofia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh provided an official briefing on the mission on Wednesday, May 7.
It has come to light that Colonel Sofia Qureshi has familial ties to Belagavi. Her husband hails from the village of Konnur in Gokak taluk, Belagavi district. Both husband and wife serve in the Indian Army as Colonels, demonstrating a shared commitment to national service.
Colonel Sofia married Colonel Tajuddin Bagewadi in 2015. Originally from Baroda in the state of Gujarat, she is currently stationed in Jammu. Her husband, Colonel Tajuddin Bagewadi, is serving in Jhansi.
