Belagavi: In a horrific incident, two youngsters playing cricket were stabbed to death by a milkman in Shindolli village in Belagavi police commissionerate limits on Sunday evening.
Sources said that the deceased have been identified as Girish, 28, and Basavaraj, 24, both residents of Shindolli village. According to the sources, the duo was playing a day and night cricket match organised in the village at the government school ground, and at the same time, a milkman, who is yet to be identified, parked his vehicle on the ground, which led to a verbal duel between these youths and the unidentified man.
The heated argument ended in tragedy as the unknown person stabbed them to death using the knife that he was carrying in his vehicle. DCP Ravindra Gadadi and other senior police officials rushed to the spot, and a manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
