Belagavi triple murder case accused acquitted, reports


Belagavi: Pravin Bhatt, accused in Belagavi’s triple murder case, was acquitted by the Dharwad High Court bench based on lack of evidences, reported media outlets.

The triple murder case has created lots of noise in the year 2018. The triple murder took place in Kuvempu Nagar in Belagavi city on August 16, 2015. Housewife Reena Malagatti and her two children, Aditya and Sahitya, were found murdered in their house. Reena’s brother had filed a complaint, and it was alleged that Pravin had an illicit relationship with Reena.

The police arrested Pravin within 24 hours and he was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Belagavi court.
