Mangaluru, By Hubli Express News: A tragic incident unfolded on Monday when a 38-year-old bank official from Thiruvananthapuram was found dead in the swimming pool of a hotel in Mangaluru.
The deceased, identified as Gopu R Nair, had traveled to Mangaluru to participate in a business conference. He had checked into the hotel around 11 am on Sunday. Tragically, at approximately 4 pm, he entered the swimming pool, seemingly under the influence of alcohol, lost control, and met with a fatal accident while swimming. The hotel staff noticed body on Monday morning, said police.
Pandeshwar Police responded to the scene and initiated an official case investigation. Additionally, law enforcement officers discovered an empty liquor bottle in his hotel room, indicating a possible connection to the tragic incident.
