Ballari boy reached home safely from Ukraine: he say he planned early and reached safely

Ballari: Basava Chetan K, Ballari’s Talur Road residence, who reached home safely from Ukraine, said that he left the country early as soon as he got an advisory from the Indian government.

Speaking to media persons, he said he left Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, on February 23 and reached Samprozia by train, and from there he got a flight to Istanbul and then Muscat, and from Muscat, he reached Hyderbad and reached Ballari on February 26 at night.

He claimed that he learned that Russians were planning an attack on Kyiv and that, sensing the danger, he and three other Indian friends fled the capital city.

The District In-Charge Minister, B Sriramulu, met the student and asked about the condition of the students stranded in the war-torn country.

Basava Chetan is a second year MBBS student studying at Kyiv Medical University.

Meanwhile, the district administration received information that three students from Harapanahalli taluk and one from Hadagali taluk are stuck in Ukraine, and the district administration has established contact with them and asked them to remain calm as the Indian government is making all efforts to bring back those stuck in that country.
