The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) stated on Friday that Ravindra Jadeja will not play in the Asia Cup 2022. The brilliant all-rounder played an important role in India’s victory against Pakistan and Hong Kong, and the Men in Blue will now be without their first-choice all-rounder for the rest of the tournament.
The BCCI stated in its release that Jadeja has a right knee injury. Axar Patel, a like-for-like replacement for the all-rounder, has taken his place.
