SPECIAL SURVEILLANCE MEASURES FOR ARRIVALS FROM KERALA AND MAHARASHTRA
*Negative RT PCR certificate is mandatory for people arriving from Kerala and Maharashtra to Karnataka.
In view of the current Covid-19 situation, the following revised special surveillance measures are notified by the Government of Karnataka herewith to be complied with strictly by the passengers’ arrivals from Kerala and Maharashtra.
Passengers arriving from Kerala and Maharashtra should produce a negative RT PCR certificate that is not older than 72 hours irrespective of vaccination status.
The above condition is mandatory for all passengers coming to Karnataka by flight, bus, train, and personal transport.
All passengers travelling by train from Kerala and Maharashtra should carry negative RT-PCR certificates.
Permitted exemptions for negative RT-PCR certificates are as follows:-
*Constitutional functionaries and health care professionals.
*Children below 2 years.
*In a dire emergency situation (death in the family, medical treatment etc.), the passenger’s swab shall be collected on arrival in Karnataka with the necessary details like phone number, address etc., duly verified from his ID card. On receipt of the RT-PCR test report, further action will be taken as per the State protocol.
All passengers are requested to adhere strictly to the Covid-19 norms of the Central/State government: wear a mask, sanitize their hands frequently, and maintain social distance. Earnest cooperation is requested from all in the fight against Covid-19.
