India clinched its first gold at the 2023 Asian Games in the 10m air rifle men’s team event, with Aishwary Pratap Singh, Divyansh Singh Panwar, and Rudrankksh Patil taking the top spot.
On the same day, the women’s cricket team secured India’s second gold by defeating Sri Lanka by 19 runs. India also earned two bronze medals in rowing and additional individual and team bronze medals in shooting. These accomplishments brought India’s total medal count to 11, placing them fifth on the leaderboard, while China leads with 50 medals, including 32 golds.
