As the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign gains momentum, vendors struggle to provide tri-colour in few states: reports


The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, launched by the Bharatiya Janata Party to celebrate the 75th Independence Day, has created a buzz across the country, and in the wake of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, people are thronging shops to buy tricolours. As a result, in a few states, like Kerala, a shortage of tri-colors was created, sellers were unable to supply according to the demand, reports say.

The actual celebration will take place from August 13–15. Prime Minister Modi has called on the people to display tri-clours at their homes.

Sharing the impact of the campaign on the sale of tri-colours, Union Minister Anurag Thakur’s office shared the experience of a shop owner who sells the flags. Thakur’s office Kooed, the statement of the shop owner and wrote, “Due to PM Shri Narendra Modi ji’s #HarGharTiranga campaign, a shopkeeper in Bengaluru reports increasing demand for Tricolour . He adds that they are happy to support customers and hope that this campaign reaches greater heights in the future.
