Hubballi: As the state assembly election is approaching, the political parties are adopting an aggressive mode of campaigning. Already, BJP’s top leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and National President J. P. Nadda, frequently visit the poll-bound state to campaign for the party and woo the voters.
Congress is planning a similar strategy, with former AICC president Rahul Gandhi all set to visit Belagavi to campaign for the party. So the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is not lagging in bringing its star leaders to the state and leveraging their charisma.
According to AAP’s state working president Ravichandra Nerebenchi and state vice president Rohan Inapure, the AAP’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal is expected to hold an election campaign in one of the assembly constituencies of Belagavi, Hubballi-Dharwad, Haveri, and Gadag districts, and the date of his visit to the state will be announced shortly, they said.
Not only Kejriwal but a host of other AAP national leaders like Raghav Chaddha, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Aatishi, Sanjay Singh Rawat, and others are expected to visit the state and participate in campaigning for the party’s candidates.
Both Nerebenchi and Inapure stated that the AAP manifesto preparation team led by Dr Ashwin Mahesh has drafted a manifesto that includes 15 points, and that draft has been released in the public domain. People are giving suggestions, and feedback to the draft, and this process will end on March 19, and highlights of the revised draft manifesto after it has been revised with better suggestions will be released on Monday, they said.
They requested that the people go through the party website to give their valuable suggestions for the manifesto. They also said that this party would make an impact on state politics and expressed confidence in winning all the seats in the Kalyan-Karnataka region.
“Janasamanyara Shakti Sabhe”
On Thursday, the AAP leaders conducted a meeting of all the office bearers of the party from the Kalyan Karnataka region and party ticket aspirants to discuss the future course of action and strategies to be adopted in the upcoming assembly election.
