A 43-year old lady working as an environmental engineer in Nelamangala died by suicide in a lodge room located just opposite the Old Bus Stand in the city on Sunday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Shantala Supreeth Belagavi. The Suburban police said that the deceased was upset by her daughter’s death, who committed suicide just a few months ago. The sources said that the police found a death note in the room where Shantala hanged herself.
The lady checked into the lodge last Friday, and it is being run by her husband, Supreeth, on a lease basis, said police. The Suburban police have registered a case in this regard and are investigating it from all angles.
