Washington, 23 May (HS): An IT company in New Jersey has been penalised for issuing recruitment notice with a bias. The company Infosoft Solution Inc published employment notices six times and invited applications from Indians only. Action against the company has been initiated under the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) of the USA.
Attorney General of Legal and Citizens Rights Christen Clarke said that the company violated the provisions of INA. Such an act of inviting applications from specific nationals demoralises other eligible workers.
The company invited applications from non-American workers and once sought applications only from Indian workers. The discrimination has been taken cognizance of and the company has been penalised with $25,500.
