Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel, renowned for her role in “Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai,” is enjoying the immense success of her recent film “Gadar 2.” The movie, co-starring Sunny Deol, has achieved a remarkable box office collection of over Rs 400 crore since its release.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Ameesha Patel revealed a significant compliment she received from director Sanjay Leela Bhansali after the release of “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha” in 2001.
She mentioned that Bhansali had sent her a heartfelt letter praising her performance. Patel recalled their conversation, where Bhansali had suggested that she consider retiring, explaining that she had achieved what many actors don’t in their entire careers. He compared her early success to iconic films like “Mughal-e-Azam,” “Mother India,” “Pakeezah,” and “Sholay,” emphasizing that she had accomplished something extraordinary early on in her career.
Recently, Ameesha Patel shared her thoughts on the outstanding success of “Gadar 2,” expressing her belief that she has set a high standard for her peers and fans. She acknowledged the unexpected level of excitement surrounding the film’s massive earnings, noting that people are savoring the euphoria and historic impact of the movie.
