
Bengaluru: Congress party leaders will chair a high-level meeting at a resort on the outskirts of the city on Thursday.
The meeting is convened to discuss the selection of candidates for the assembly election. The meeting will be presided over by Karnataka Pradesh Congress in-charge Randeep Surjewala.KPCC President DK Shivakumar and CLP Leader Siddaramaiah will also take part in it. This also includes election committee members and other prominent leaders.
The Congress leaders will finalise the list of probable candidates, which will be sent to the party high command and discussed at the central election committee, and the first list of Congress candidates will be released by the Shivaratri festival.
In the first phase, it is expected that the Congress party will announce candidates for 150 seats. Sources said that all the current MLAs of the party will get tickets, and their names will appear on the first list.
