Bengaluru: The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast of predominantly dry weather across Karnataka for the coming days, with only isolated pockets expected to receive rainfall.
While Karnataka experienced a robust pre-monsoon season, the intensity of rainfall has significantly diminished since the official onset of the monsoon. The end of May saw widespread heavy downpours, leading to considerable disruption. However, relief might be in sight, with current indications suggesting a likely invigoration of monsoon activity across the state after June 10.
Looking ahead, moderate rainfall is anticipated in several districts. This includes coastal regions such as Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, and Udupi. Inland districts like Belagavi, Bidar, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Raichur, and Yadgir are also on alert for moderate showers.
The state capital and its surrounding areas, including Bengaluru Rural and Bengaluru Urban, along with Chamarajanagar, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Kodagu, Kolar, Mandya, Mysuru, Ramanagara, Shivamogga, Tumakuru, and Vijayanagara, are also expected to witness moderate precipitation.
