Hubballi: In the year 2000, he escaped from Hubballi after obtaining bail from the court, but he did not appear in court to face the charges he was facing. Since then, the cops have been looking for him. But he ran out of luck yesterday, as he was caught and brought before the court by the Town Police. He is now being held in judicial custody.
Based on a specific tip-off, a police team led by Hubballi Town Police Inspector Anand M. Onakudre nabbed the accused in Goa. The accused, then 33 years old, was accused of being involved in a pickpocketing case, and after being granted bail by the court, he failed to appear in court.
According to sources, the accused, a resident of Moulali Chawl, was leading a simple life in Goa, had married a local lady, and worked as a security guard for a private company.
