Accident in Belagavi: Young Man and Girl Succumb to Severe Burns

Belagavi, December 07: In a devastating incident near Devagiri Cross in the Belagavi taluk, a fatal collision between a truck and a car has resulted in the untimely demise of two individuals, identified as Mohan Maruti Belagavakar (24) from Bombaraga village and Sameeksha Dyakar (12) from Macche village. The duo succumbed to severe burns inflicted during the accident.

The catastrophic event unfolded when a car collided with a truck in the proximity of Bombaraga Cross, triggering a diesel tank explosion in the latter vehicle. The ensuing inferno engulfed both vehicles, leaving them charred beyond recognition. Despite valiant efforts by local residents, the lives of Mohan and Sameeksha could not be saved. Meanwhile, Mahesh Belagavakar and Sneha Belagundkar, also involved in the collision, were promptly rescued and transported to the hospital with grave injuries.

Immediate response from local fire brigade and law enforcement personnel successfully contained the fire, allowing for a meticulous investigation into the incident. The bodies of the deceased have been transferred to the BIMS Hospital morgue, where post-mortem examinations will be conducted to ascertain the exact cause of death.
