ACB sleuths searching 15 govt officials properties in Karnataka

Officials from the anti-corruption bureau (ACB) conducted simultaneous search operations at 60 locations throughout Karnataka on Wednesday, targeting 15 government officials from various departments on charges of disproportionate assets.

Five teams led by ACB Superintendent of Police (Eastern Range) Jayaprakash were searching Gadag Agriculture Department Joint Director TS Rudreshappa’s five properties. The ACB raided Rudreshappa’s house in Gadag’s Hudco Colony, and other teams raided the other four locations, including his house in Davanagere.

In Belagavi district, ACB teams led by its Superintendent of Police (North Range) BS Nemagouda were conducting searches on the properties of Sadashiva Rayappa Marilingannavar, senior motor vehicle inspector of Gokak. Marlingannavar’s six properties are being searched by 36 officers.

The Cooperative Development Officer of Savadatti, AK Masti’s 3 properties are being searched by the 24 officers of ACB. “C” grade employee of Hubballi Electricity Supply Company (Hescom) in Belagavi, Nataji Heeraji Patil’s three properties is being searched by 30 officers.

The homes of Mangaluru City Corporation Executive Engineer KS Lingegowda, Kaveri Neeravari Nigam (Hemavathi Left Bank Canal) engineer Srinivas K, and Doddaballapura Revenue Inspector Lakshminarasimhaiah are all being searched.

Searches are underway at the properties belonging to SM Biradar, junior engineer PWD department, Jewaragi, and the team led by North Eastern Range ACB SP Mahesh Meghannavar and 44 officers are searching three locations.

The ACB team searched the properties belonging to Shrinivas K, executive engineer, HLBC, KR Pete division, Mandya.
