A jailed cop was allegedly given a grand welcome after his release from judicial custody in Kottur town on Wednesday night. The Kottur police have filed a case against the suspended officer and 12 others for violating the night curfew with a large celebration.
The police report says that PSI Nagappa was suspended after a raid by the Ballari district ACB officials. Subsequently, he was sent to judicial custody and the PSI and his followers celebrated his release on Wednesday.
The video and photographs of the celebration have gone viral on social media.
The CPI of the Kudligi circle, who is also the in-charge of Kottur circle, registered a case against PSI and 12 others.
