A Benz car hit a mini truck on the outskirts of Hubballi; a few suffered injuries

Hubballi: A Mercedes Benz car rammed a truck near Noolvi Cross on Sunday evening. The police said around 10 passengers who were on a mini truck suffered minor injuries. The injured have been shifted to Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital.

Police Inspector Ramesh Gokak said, the Benz car was going towards Bengaluru and the mini truck was going towards Kalaghatagi. The injured are residents of Bagenkoppa village in Kalaghatagi taluk. They were returning home after finishing their work in the fields when the accident happened. He said the passengers of the car did not suffer any injuries as the airbags of the car opened as they all had fastened their seatbelts.

The car belonged to a hotelier called Siddharth Das, said Inspector Ramesh Gokak, and he added that there were around 15-16 passengers on the mini truck.
