Amaravati, 14 May (HS): On Sunday, a private bus rammed into an auto-rickshaw in Andhra Pradesh’s Kakinada district, killing six women and injuring four more. The collision happened on national route 216 near Sitaramapuram in Tallarevu mandal.
Six women were killed on the spot. The injured were sent to the Government General Hospital in Kakinada. The victims were from Yanam’s Neelapalli. They were all workers at a shrimp unit. The collision happened while they were driving home from work, according to authorities.
Police opened an investigation after filing a report. An official stated that they were attempting to determine the cause of the collision.
