Raipur: In a tragic incident, 10 individuals from the same family lost their lives in a road accident in the Balod district of Chhattisgarh.
The mishap occurred during the early hours of Thursday when the Mahindra Bolero they were traveling in collided head-on with a truck near the Puror and Charma area. The victims, who were returning from a wedding celebration in Kanker district, were natives of Dhamtari district.
As per sources, the accident claimed the lives of five women and two children, while a minor girl sustained injuries. The truck driver, whose vehicle collided with the Bolero, fled the scene immediately after the incident. The police have launched an investigation into the matter.
