Hubballi: The people of Dharwad district were disappointed when the Karnataka government announced some relief for 16 districts with low case positivity, excluding Dharwad. The district reported a positive rate of 4.1 in the previous seven days, whereas the Dharwad district did not receive the same relaxation. The government’s decision sparked a debate among residents, who questioned the government’s logic when announcing the Covid induced relaxation.
But now, revised guidelines have been issued by the government and the same relaxations announced by the Chief Minister on Saturday evening will be applicable to the Dharwad district as well.
District-In-Charge Minister Jagdish Shettar on a social media platform expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for considering his plea.
Covid lockdown relaxation rules of category one will be applicable in the district, it means all additional activities permitted for category one districts from 6 am to 5 am will be applicable to the district as well. The relaxed norms will be in place until July 5.
