Are you intending to go to areas you’ve never seen before this weekend and spend a meaningful day learning about history? Then you can go to Gadag to see the Sabarmati Ashram, which is a replica of Mahatma Gandhi’s Sabarmati Ashram in Gujarat. The Ashram, which was built on the premises of Karnataka State Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University, is the main attraction for visitors to Gadag.
The Ashram was forced to close because of an increase in Covid cases. It is now available to the broader public. Visitors can tour the magnificent Ashram and learn about the life of Bapuji.
You can visit the place between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., following all Covid regulations.
