Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a telephone call to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai at around 4.30 pm today and inquired about his health condition, said the Chief Minister’s official sources. On Monday, Bommai tested positive for novel coronavirus.
The sources informed the media that the PM asked the Chief Minister to get enough rest and take good care of his health. The CM has said that he was doing fine and informed him that two of his family members had also tested positive. The CM informed the Prime Minister that he was preparing for the Chief Minister’s Meeting, which he would hold virtually on January 13.
The PM and Bommai held a talk for about five minutes, during which he also informed the PM that the government was making its all-out effort to contain the spread of the virus.
